Our Story

About Tribe Calendar

A living calendar born from community — making it easy to discover the vibrant events that people share every day.

Born from Community

Tribe Calendar started as a simple idea: make it easy for people to discover the vibrant events that community organisers share every day in WhatsApp groups — without having to be in every group yourself.

Events are automatically extracted from community channels, reviewed by their organisers, and published here for anyone to find and attend. No sign-up required to browse.

The more people who share, the richer the calendar becomes for everyone.

Simple by Design

Community organisers post events to their WhatsApp groups as they always have. Tribe Calendar listens, extracts the details automatically using AI, and presents them in one clean, browsable calendar.

Each event is tied to its source community group. You can filter the calendar to any group and subscribe with a single iCal link — your calendar app then updates automatically whenever new events are added.

No algorithm decides what you see. No engagement optimisation. Just a clean feed of real events from real communities near you.

Open & Respectful

Only events that organisers have explicitly shared for public discovery are published here. No personal messages, no contact details, no tracking.

Tribe Calendar does not require you to create an account to browse or subscribe. Your calendar app fetches events directly — we never see who is subscribing.

Our Values

🌍

Open Access

No sign-up, no paywall. Community events should be discoverable by anyone, anywhere.

🤝

Community First

Organisers stay in control. Events only appear with their consent. We amplify, not replace.

🔒

Privacy by Default

No accounts, no tracking, no data sold. Your calendar subscriptions are entirely private.

Honest Technology

AI assists with extraction but humans review. No engagement tricks — just clean, useful information.
